Double Nickel League (ages 6-7):TJAY Soccer is pleased to be a part of the Frederick County Double Nickel League for children aged 6-7. The U7-U8 Double Nickel League is Frederick County's community-based league focusing on building confidence and player development. It is the mission of this league to provide an atmosphere that promotes individual player development with emphasis on confidence associated with creative dribbling and ball mastery without the pressures of tracking wins / losses at either the player, coach or parent level. The 5v5 format provides a challenging and enriching learning environment for U7 and U8 players of all ability levels. The program is designed to help players build confidence, fitness, knowledge of the game and its history. By providing an arena that promotes increased touches on the ball, everyone is always a part of the game. Children participating in the Double Nickel League will practice 2 times per week and play games against other teams in the league on Saturdays. |
