Frederick Fours (U8 Coed) League

The Frederick Fours League is a developmental program set up for children in first and second grades.  

This league is great for the beginner and those players who have already played in our In-house program and wants an additional game day.

Players practice 2 days a week at Monocacy Elementary School and play games on Saturdays at Ballenger Creek Park. 

The league uses a 4 v 4 approach (4 field players and no goalie).  A dual field format is used to organize players on game day.  Teams of 10-13 players are created and then divided in half on game day to play their opponent who has done the same.  They play on side-by-side fields approximately 25 yards by 35 yards each.  At half time, one team will have their players switch fields so that players will eventually play the full team of their opponent.

Games are 4 - 10 minute quarters. No scores or standings are published for this league.

A Size 3 Soccer Ball is used for this age group.

The Frederick Fours League is the only local MSYSA sanctioned league using USYS recommended, age appropriate team sizes for the U8 player.

For the safety of the players, Parents/Guardians of players are REQUIRED to remain at the soccer fields with their child during each practice and game.
